At night, we pause and look up to the stars.
We gaze outward, enrapt, enveloped by the beauty of endlessly cascading waterfalls of change.
We set off, borne by our means, losing ourselves to the motion of water and the farscapes beyond the horizon.
We drift along the uncharted course of Life, its rich cadence deepening all the while.
Our sense that this World, that all of this life swirling around us, is sacred, grows.
We remember, as we once knew when we were children, before this world told us we needed to believe differently, that there is no distinct, separating line, dividing us from the rhythms of nature.
Suspended above the Land,
we return to that which we were borne from;
To the Land.
And,
to the Water.
This Earth is unimaginable diversity in motion.
A living pattern.
Her beauty is evident to all with the eyes to see.
bounding unrestrained, inherently unabashed, upon this "pale blue dot".
Our written word continually attempts to grasp it,
endlessly finding it is just beyond the reach of any lettering.
That,
is where we come in.
Eris Expeditions exists for one simple purpose:
bring people to see the water;
water that has always been here,
water that has always been essential to Life,
water that has always been sacred and always will be.
By way of kayak and Water, we immerse our life in these magical, awe-inspiring worlds.
in their very Spirit, becoming them.
The concept of "that", as an opposition of "us", blurs and fades.
When we emerge again? We leave them intact and undisturbed, ourselves, possibly, also intact and undisturbed.
Our expeditions allow us a chance, even if we're already with the rythm, to align with the patterns of Earth,
the Patterns that we call Earth,
the music all around us,
our Mother;
to feel her pulse,
to learn how she dances,
to fall back into the rhythm of her breathing all around us,
her breathing through us,
forming us,
cradling us.
That music?
That's what we,
mankind,
what we play to, dance to, sing to, create to;
it's what we live to.
Not in subjection to.
In celebration to!
All of us here at Eris Expeditions ply our private trade in the interest of every man woman, boy and girl,
everyone,
has their own incredibly personal, absolutely unique, experience.
Each and every one of us is completely, uniquely, our Selves.
A few examples of what that manifests within.

Welcome to the adventure.
Let's wander this Earth.
😁✌️
Yeah, you heard right. We pack up our yak's with everything you'll need and head out for the next three weeks through the sun, heat, rain, snow, wind, you name it. "Crazy!", you say? Well, hey, don't knock it 'til you try it. It may not change the world, but kayaking these seemingly endless canyons that shelter this desert oasis, surely will change you.
1,640 miles of shoreline. White sand beaches as far as the eye can see. Skylines of water and waves unto the horizon. Sand dunes and beachgrass and constellations Thomas Kincaid could never hope to capture. Islands and sandhill cranes and lighthouses more beautiful than you could image. Water without even a hint of salt.
At just over 11,000 years old, Lake Superior is the 2nd largest body of freshwater on the planet. With the generation of her own weather systems, "inland freshwater sea" is more accurate than "Lake". Those same weather systems make expeditions here impossible during the winter and shouldering months.
Over 1,100 lakes. Over 1,500 miles of navigable water. Moose, bear, geese, loons, eagles, and so many, many, many more. And no motors. Let's wander and find what truly hasn't been lost.
Currently considered as "Custom Locations".
Water is everywhere. So that's where we go. We craft your expeditions to anywhere you can imagine. Wherever you wander, wherever your curiosity leads you, wherever adventure finds you, we'll be there.
A total of 21 different islands. Miles of continuous coastal caves and magnificent arches. Weather is key.
Isle Royal. A home to wolves, moose, mosquitos, and the Aurora Borealis. For some it becomes a yearly destination the world over. For others, a once in a lifetime adventure. Our friend Paul breathes wind, water, and wild (and wolves). That's what you will find here.
Quaint? Not exactly. The Pictured Rocks and the neighboring Grand Island have a wholly unique seventy-seven miles of shoreline. Being on the smaller end geographical scale, it makes up for it on the geological one.
A Fully custom experience. Somewhere... unknown? Unlisted? Personalized to wherever your sense of wonder leads you.
It's what we do. Every bit of nature, every cloud in the sky, every star above, every sand grain, and every drop of water...
So, where we headed?
“Real isn't how you are made. Real is a thing that happens to you. When someone loves you for a long, long time, not just in word, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real."

Eris Expeditions is named so in the same spirit. This world is full of so much beauty and wonder. And we are a part of it!! Tended to in that spirit of beauty and wonder, of cherishing those we love, of those wonderful, beautiful, amazing people and experiences that become integral, inseparable pieces of ourselves, our lives, and our stories, is Eris Expeditions.
"At the beginning of this trip, I may be an old fat man. At the end of it, I'll simply be an old man."
"Do you mind that my dog is my assistant guide?"
Life itself guides us through hardships. It's our choice to fight the currents or to go along with them. *Insert conspiratorial mischievousness child-like wonder here.* What do you think we're going to find?
